Plow Day Historic Re-enactment

Plow Day, our first public event, was held at the farm on May 26, 2018, to celebrate traditional farm garden and crop preparation. We partnered with Buckets of Rain and with North West Michigan Draft Horse & Mule Association who brought draft horse teams to demonstrate garden and field preparation. This event was underwritten in part by a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment of the Humanities.

The following year’s Plow Day on May 25, 2019 added wagon rides and a harnessing demonstration.
